Anam Cara is a
working croft that has developed over a series of years
- organically - into a busy retreat centre.
This evolution has been
gradual with each building arising according to its needs and functions
and usually with whatever ideas are present at its conception.
Nevertheless the main venue
and the pavilion heralded a new dawn, but still the retreat centre is host
to a collection of eclectic, unusual and interesting buildings with grass
roofs the norm.
