Modern life pulls us in many directions, often causing stress and worry.

Put yourself back together again and let your busy mind settle for three days in peaceful surroundings. Join us for a weekend of Zazen, the practice of balance.

The retreat consists of alternating periods of practice and study, with ample free time to explore the walks around Anam Cara.

Periods of Zazen practice are interspersed with talks and open discussion on Buddhism and its relevance to modern life.

The weekend is suitable for experienced practitioners and beginners alike.

“To know the self is to forget the self.
To forget the self is to be whole with everything in experience.
To be whole with everything in experience is to let go of my body and my mind,
and to let go of the body and mind of the world.”

- Zen Master Dogen

Michael Eido Luetchford lived in Japan for over 20 years, studying and practicing the teachings of Zen Master Dogen, founder of the Soto School of Zen Buddhism.

Based in Bristol, he now runs the Dogen Sangha Buddhist Group. More information can be found at www.dogensangha.org.uk
