Following on from Time
for Trees, this retreat has a significant
meditation component incorporated into the
working day, arranged around alternating periods
of work and meditation sessions.
While the retreat timetable is set, individuals
have the option of finding their own level of
meditation practice with support offered during
a Sanga gathering each evening.
The week is geared around being quiet,
contemplative and supportive with a gentle
routine of regular meditation worked around
the delight of pricking out and planting native
tree seedlings – almost a meditation in itself.
No previous experience of meditation is
necessary and participants are free to undertake
any other related disciplines during the
meditation periods with yoga mats and blocks
available for use.
A minimum of three hours tree nursery work
per day is requested.
Given the reduced work hours and emphasis on
meditation practice, there will be a charge for
this week.
