October is another busy month on the land, the main activity is the packing up of this year’s tree seedlings, however there are a number of outdoor jobs principally in the garden as we prepare for winters dormancy.

We are looking for people to help with these activities, offering food and accommodation in exchange for labour. We will be working Friday to Thursday with a day off mid week with the offer of a guided walk in the hills. We will also have several evenings of communal events to lighten the ‘spirit’ plus the option of a morning and evening meditation.

The facilities at Anam Cara will be available for personal practice of meditation, yoga, and related disciplines. As with Time for Trees, we are keen to promote a period of mindfulness during the working day.
