Sweatlodge Ceremonies

with Twobirds

The Sweatlodge is an ancient ritual which was performed by numerous cultures throughout the world.  Today the teachings we receive are predominantly from the Native Americans as they are amongst the very few who kept this ceremony alive until today.

The sweatlodges are a  rite of passage for our own purification, healing, and clarity in life.  The sweatlodge also reconnects us with nature and the elements and this Mother Earth we walk upon.  It opens our hearts to each other and to 'All our Relations' providing a sacred and safe space that allows us to simply be ourselves.

Although the format of these sweatlodges is based on Native American tradition, they are not attached to any religion or belief.  The elemental quality of this ceremony provides a place for everyone no matter which path you walk in life.

2010 will see only three Sweatlodge Ceremonies at Anam Cara and they are always popular and well attended events so early booking is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.
