Time for Trees
with the Anam Cara Community
23 May – 6 June
(starts Friday evening)

The ‘Time for Trees’ work retreat is proving a popular event. The
principle task as in previous years involves the propagation of native
tree seedlings which make a small but well tended contribution to the
reforesting of Scotland’s native woodland.
June is a particular busy month in the nursery, dominated by the
transplanting of birch, hazel and scots pine seedlings.
We are looking for assistance over a two week period to undertake this
gentle task and offer full board and accommodation in exchange for labour.
The work is light, simple, stress free and good communal fun.
We will include a daily awareness practice into the activities
normally in the form of a silent period of mindfulness. There will be
opportunity to participate in a range of informal activities including
daily meditation, talks, African drumming, which will add variety to what
should be an enjoyable and fruitful experience.
Participants are requested to book a minimum of one week, running from
Friday to Friday.
