The Solstice is the northern hemisphere’s summer high point, a time of
growth, natural abundance, warmth and energy. As summer flourishes around
us we are reminded of the interconnectedness of all life. No being is
alone on this planet, we exist in relationship to each other.
This year’s celebration will honour this sense of togetherness and
foster an atmosphere which will allow open reflection on what inhibits
truthful communication. The weekend will consist of a ‘Warrior Lodge’ (men
only) and a ‘Moon Lodge’ (women only) on the first two days, followed by a
joint Sweatlodge Ceremony on the day of the Solstice, when we will honour
the interconnectedness of the male and female aspect of life.
This extended weekend will also include a spiral walk, drumming & song,
and the making of sacred objects creating a colourful weekend in
celebration of the oneness of all things.
