
Enjoy your Voice & Sing in the Spring
with Chandra Mather
23-25 April
(starts Friday evening)

Using Natural Voice techniques, this workshop will provide an
opportunity to sing together and explore your voice in a supportive group.
The weekend will include:
 | Learning new songs from around the world. Canons, rounds and 3-5
part harmonies from Europe, Asia, Ghana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. The
repertoire will include fun short songs, more intricate pieces,
traditional, contemporary and spiritual songs. |
 | Exercises designed to support and encourage improvisation and
harmony creation. |
 | Focusing on your unique sound and developing more confidence with
your voice. |
 | Learning warm up and voice maintenance techniques. |
 | Having fun, enjoying your voice and singing your heart out ! |
On Saturday evening there will be a Singing Supper. If you play an
instrument, you are welcome to bring it along.

Chandra is an experienced workshop facilitator, and is a member of the
Natural Voice Practitioners Network (NVPN). After graduating from the MSc
music in the community course at University of Edinburgh, she has
undertaken further research and training worldwide in many genres. She is
also a performing folk musician and runs a community choir.
