Enjoy your Voice & Sing in the Spring

Using Natural Voice techniques, this workshop will provide an opportunity to sing together and explore your voice in a supportive group. The weekend will include:

bulletLearning new songs from around the world. Canons, rounds and 3-5 part harmonies from Europe, Asia, Ghana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. The repertoire will include fun short songs, more intricate pieces, traditional, contemporary and spiritual songs.
bulletExercises designed to support and encourage improvisation and harmony creation.
bulletFocusing on your unique sound and developing more confidence with your voice.
bulletLearning warm up and voice maintenance techniques.
bulletHaving fun, enjoying your voice and singing your heart out !

On Saturday evening there will be a Singing Supper. If you play an instrument, you are welcome to bring it along.

Chandra is an experienced workshop facilitator, and is a member of the Natural Voice Practitioners Network (NVPN). After graduating from the MSc music in the community course at University of Edinburgh, she has undertaken further research and training worldwide in many genres. She is also a performing folk musician and runs a community choir.
